HomeMy WebLinkAbout2020-08-05 Regular MeetingAGENDA City of Grapevine, Texas Animal Shelter Advisory Committee Wednesday, August 5, 2020 at 1:30 p.m. Microsoft Teams Meeting In accordance with Orders of the Office of the Governor of the State of Texas, the Grapevine Animal Shelter Advisory Committee will conduct the meeting scheduled at 1:30 pm on August 5, 2020 by telephone conference in order to advance the public health goal of limiting face-to-face meetings (also called "social distancing") to slow the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19). There will be no public access to the location described above. The meeting will be livestreamed on Microsoft Teams. This supplemental written notice, the meeting agenda, and the agenda packet are posted online at www.grapevinetexas.gov. The public toll -free dial -in number to participate in the telephonic meeting is 1-210-469- 4097. The audio conference PIN is 233 991 328# The public will be permitted to offer public comments telephonically as provided by the agenda and as permitted by the presiding officer during the meeting. Starting at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, August 4, citizens can submit a Citizen Appearance request form from the City's website at https://www.grapevinetexas.gov/89/Agendas-Minutes. During the meeting, the names of those that have submitted a form will be called on to speak in the order the forms were received. The deadline to submit requests will be 12:00 pm on Wednesday, August 5. A recording of the telephonic meeting will be made, and will be available to the public in accordance with the Open Meetings Act upon written request. CALL TO ORDER: 1:30 p.m. CITIZEN COMMENTS Any person who is not scheduled on the agenda may address the Animal Shelter Advisory Committee under Citizen Comments or on any other agenda item by completing a Citizen Appearance Request form with the Committee Secretary. A member of the public may address the Animal Shelter Advisory Committee regarding an item on the agenda either before or during the Board's consideration of the item, upon being recognized by the Chairperson or upon the consent of the Committee. In accordance with the Texas Open Meetings Act, the Animal Shelter Advisory Committee is restricted in discussing or taking action during Citizen Comments. NEW BUSINESS 2. Elect Chairperson. 3. CITIZEN COMMENTS No citizen comments submitted. ITEM 2. ELECT CHAIRPERSON Larry Hallmark was elected chairperson. ITEM 3. CONSIDERATION OF MINUTES The Committee was provided a copy of the March 4, 2020 meeting minutes. Joy Mayo made a motion to approve the minutes, and Nancy Snyder seconded. Motion prevailed by the following vote: Ayes: Crocker, Hallmark, Mayo, Olsen, Price, Snyder, Valentine Nays: None ITEM 4. SHELTER OPS RELATED TO CONSTRUCTION/CONSTRUCTION UPDATE Update given to committee. No action was taken by the Committee. ADJOURNMENT There being no further business to come before the Committee, Sherri Olsen offered a motion to adjourn the meeting at 2:35 p.m. and Joy Mayo seconded.
