HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 1997-013 � RESOLUTION NO. g�-�3 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF � GRAPEVINE, TEXAS TERMINATING THE WATER AND SANITARY SEWER AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE, THE CITY OF SOUTHLAKE AND THE TRAMMELL CROW COMPANY DATED FEBRUARY 12, 1987 TO PROVIDE TEMPORARY WATER SERVICE TO HERITAGE INDUSTRIAL PARK AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE WHEREAS, the City of Grapevine, the City of Southlake and the Trammell Crow Company, the successor to the Grapevine/Highway 26 Joint Venture, are parties to a Water and Sanitary Sewer Agreement dated February 12, 1987; and WHEREAS, the Trammell Crow Company (a.k.a. CRI Industrial Development, L.P.) is the current owner/developer of approximately 112 acres of land known as Heritage Industrial Park, of which approximately 94 acres is located in the City of Grapevine and approximately 18 acres is located in the City of Southlake; and `"""'° WHEREAS, the above referenced agreement proposed to provide temporary water service to the Southlake Property and allow a fire emergency water supply to � both the Grapevine property and the Southlake property; and WHEREAS, the water and sanitary sewer infrastructure systems within the two cities have expanded in the past ten years surrounding this 1 12 acres of land; and WHEREAS, the Trammell Crow representatives have requested that the two cities terminate the Water and Sanitary Sewer Agreement and has submitted a construction plan which proposes to extend water and sanitary sewer facilities to serve the Southlake property, and the fire emergency water supply connection between the Cities is no longer necessary at this location. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS: Section 1 . That all matters stated in the preamble are true and correct and are incorporated herein as if copied in their entirety. � Section 2. That the City Council hereby authorizes the termination of the Water and Sanitary Sewer Agreement. � Section 3. That this resolution shall become effective from and after the date of its passage.
