�. .� A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS, DIRECTING STAFF TO PROCEED
WITH SUBMITTAL OF A GRANT APPLICATION FOR
PARTICIPATION IN THE LANDSCAPE COST SHARING
PROGRAM - STATE DEPARTMENT OF HIGHWAYS AND
PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION; PROVIDING FOR
LANDSCAPING ALONG STATE HIGHWAY 26 AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, it is the considered belief and opinion of the Grapevine City Council
that participation in such a program will best serve the needs of the community; and
WHEREAS, the Grapevine City Council is of the opinion that such participation
may provide for the efficient use of City resources; and
WHEREAS, the Grapevine City Council is of the opinion that the providing of
landscaping along a section of State Highway 26 North will benefit the overall

community.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
"� GRAPEVINE, TEXAS:
Section 1 . That a Grant Application for the City of Grapevine be submitted for
participation in the Landscape Cost Sharing Program.
Section 2. That the purpose of the Grant Application is to:
A. Participate in State Funds for the benefit of the City of Grapevine
B. Provide for the enhancement in the appearance of the City of
Grapevine along State Highway 26.
Section 3. That the development and implementation of the Grant Application
and project be coordinated through the City of Grapevine Parks and Recreation
Department. The City Council hereby authorizes the City Manager, or his designated
representative, to enter into the agreement and all other necessary documents with
the State Department of Highways and Public Transportation in connection with the
,�. grant application and project.
Section 4. That this resolution shall be effective from and after the date of its
� passage.
