� A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS RATIFYING AUTHORIZATION OF
EMERGENCY PURCHASE OF A COPY MACHINE
THROUGH THE PURCHASING PROGRAMS OF THE STATE
PURCHASING AND GENERAL SERVICES COMMISSION;
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE SAID
CONTRACTS AND DOCUMENTS; AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, the City of Grapevine, Texas, pursuant to the authority granted by
Article 664-7, V.T.C.S., as amended, desires to participate in described purchasing
programs of the State Purchasing and General Services Commission; and
WHEREAS, the City of Grapevine, Texas, is of the opinion that participation in
these programs will be highly beneficial to the taxpayers of this City through the
anticipated savings to be realized; and
� WHEREAS, on March 27, 1997, the Police Department was authorized to purchase
; a replacement copy machine through the State Purchasing and General Services
4r�, Commission contract on an emergency basis.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS:
Section 1. That all matters stated in the above preamble are true and correct and
are incorporated herein as if copied in their entirety.
Section 2. That the City Council hereby ratifies and approves the emergency
purchase of the following copier from the State Purchasing and General Services
Commission on the Commission's annual contracts for these items:

� Section 3. That the City Manager, or his designee, is authorized and directed to
sign and deliver all necessary requests and other documents in connection therewith for
an on behalf of the City of Grapevine.

Section 4. That this resolution shall take effect from and after the date of its
passage.
