r�,,�„ A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS SOLICITING OFFERS TO EXCHANGE
A TRACT OF LAND OWNED BY THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE
FOR LIKE LAND AND PROPERTY OF APPROXIMATELY
EQUAL VALUE; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, the City of Grapevine owns the property in the 300 block of South
Scribner Street containing approximately 438.58 feet of frontage on the west side of
South Scribner Street, more particularly described as parts of Tracts 10-I and 10-K,
Abstract A-518, A. Foster Survey; and
WHEREAS, the City of Grapevine wishes to exchange subject land in the 300
block of South Scribner Street for like land and property of approximately equal value;
and
WHEREAS, this offer of exchange is submitted pursuant to Texas Local
Government Code, Chapter 272; and
!"""�" WHEREAS, the property offered for exchange shall be approximately the same
size as the City's property and be in the same general vicinity as the City's property;

WHEREAS, the property offered for exchange must be clear of liens and
encumbrances; and
WHEREAS, the party(s) submitting acceptable offers shall execute warranty
deed with free and clear title, at closing, which closing and exchange shall take place
within ten (10) days or within a mutually agreeable time, after City Council accepts
the offer of exchange, at a land title company in Grapevine, Texas; and
WHEREAS, sealed written bid offers of exchange shall be submitted to City
Secretary, Linda Huff, 409 South Main Street, Grapevine, Texas on or before
August 26, 1996, at 2:00 p.m. at such times the bids will be opened and read; and
WHEREAS, all details of the exchange shall be included in the bid; and
WHEREAS, the Grapevine City Council is not required to accept any offer or to
complete any exchange; the Grapevine City Council is the sole judge of whether the
�,,, property offered for exchange is of like kind and equal value; the Grapevine City
Council shall consider the offer(s) to exchange at a regular or called meeting of the
City Council within ten (10) days of bids being opened.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS:
'� Section 1 . That all matters stated in the preamble are true and correct and are
incorporated herein as if written in their entirety.

Section 2. The City of Grapevine solicits offers to exchange the land located
at the northwest corner of College Street and Church Street for like land and property
of approximately equal value.
Section 3. That this resolution shall become effective from and after the date
of its passage.
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS on this the 6th day of August , 1996.
