RESOLUTION NO. 95-09
,��� A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS APPROVING AN AGREEMENT WITH
THE STATE OF TEXAS RELATIVE TO PERMITTING THE
CITY TO CONSTRUCT ROADWAY IMPROVEMENTS
WITHIN STATE HIGHWAY 121 RIGHT-OF-WAY AS PART
OF THE HALL-JOHNSON ROAD RECONSTRUCTION
PROJECT; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
EXECUTE SAID AGREEMENT WITH THE STATE OF
TEXAS; AUTHORIZING PAYMENT; AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, the City of Grapevine desires to reconstruct Hall-Johnson Road
within the State Highway 121 right-of-way as part of the Hall-Johnson Road/Heritage
Avenue Reconstruction Project; and
WHEREAS, the City acknowledges that the cost of the paving improvements
of Hall-Johnson Road within the State right-of-way shall be funded solely by the City;

and
WHEREAS, the State shall perform periodic inspection of the roadway
�"��" construction within the State right-of-way as part of the Hall-Johnson Road
Reconstruction; and
WHEREAS, the State shall require, as a condition of the permit for said roadway
improvements within State right-of-way, that all costs incurred by the State in the
inspection of the roadway construction within State right-of-way as part of the Hall-
Johnson Road reconstruction shall be borne by the City of Grapevine.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS:
Section 1 . That the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute on behalf of
the City an agreement between the City and the State for the City's construction of
the Hall- Johnson Road improvements within State right-of-way. (CSJ: 0364-01-086)
Section 2. That the cost for said roadway improvements within State right-of-
,�.�: way as part of the Hall-Johnson Road reconstruction shall be the responsibility of the
City of Grapevine.
� Section 3. That the City hereby agrees to pay to the State the cost incurred
by the State in the inspection of the construction within State right-of-way as part of
the reconstruction of Hall-Johnson Road.

Section 4. That this resolution shall become effective from and after the date
of its passage.
