RESOLUTION NO. 94-16
„�, A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 79-35
ADOPTED ON OCTOBER 16, 1979, AS AMENDED,
RELATING TO THE GRAPEVINE GOIF COURSE ADVISORY
BOARD; ALTERING THE MEMBERSHIP OF SAID BOARD BY
AMENDING SECTION 3, PARAGRAPHS A AND B; AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, the City of Grapevine established the Grapevine Golf Course
Advisory Board on October 16, 1979, by the adoption of Resolution No. 79-35; and
WHEREAS, the City Council expanded the membership of said Board on
November 4, 1986, by the adoption of Resolution No. 86-43, and on September 3,
1991, by the adoption of Resolution No. 91-29; and
WHEREAS, the Grapevine City Council wishes to alter the membership of said
Board to increase the citizen membership from four members to five members and to

decrease the Metro Hotels, Inc. membership from two members to one member.
''�� NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS:
Section 1 . That the above and foregoing preamble is true and correct and is
incorporated into this resolution as if copied herein in its entirety.
Section 2. That Section 3, Paragraph A of Resolution No. 79-73, approved and
adopted by the City Council on October 16, 1979, amended by Resolution No. 86-35
on November 4, 1986, and amended by Resolution No. 91-29 on September 3, 1991,
is hereby amended to read as follows:
"The Board shall consist of nine members, composed of the City Manager and
the Golf Director, one member of the City Council, five citizens of the City of
Grapevine who are members of the Grapevine Golf Association, the Grapevine
Ladies Golf Association or who are active golfers at the Grapevine Municipal
Golf Course, and one representative of Metro Hotels, Inc., or its successors.
An "active" golfer is one who plays golf a minimum of once a month. The City
�., Council Member shall be appointed each year by the Mayor, with the five
citizen members being appointed by the City Council. The Golf Associations
may submit recommendations to the City Council for appointment. Metro
Hotels, Inc., or its successors, shall submit recommendations for appointment
to the Board."

Section 3. That Section 3, Paragraph B(21(a) of Resolution No. 79-35 approved
and adopted by the City Council on October 16, 1979, and amended by Resolution
No. 86-35 on November 4, 1986 and amended by Resolution No. 91-29 on
� September 3, 1991, is hereby amended to read as follows:
"(2) la) Each of the five citizen members shall occupy a Place on the Golf
Advisory Board, such Places being numbered 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5
and the representative from Metro Hotels, Inc., or it successors,
shall occupy a Place on the Golf Advisory Board, such Place being
numbered 6."
Section 4. That Section 3, Paragraph B(2)(d) is hereby amended to read as
follows:
"(2) (d) Upon approval and adoption of this Resolution, Place 5 shall be
appointed on June 7, 1994, to serve for a period of two years.
Subsequent appointments to Place 5 shall be for a term of two (2)
years.
Section 5. That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after
its date of adoption.
