� A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING
STAFF TO PROCEED WITH THE EXECUTION OF A NORTH
CENTRAL TEXAS COUNCIL OF GOVERNMENTS PASS
THROUGH GRANT FROM THE TEXAS NATURAL
RESOURCE CONSERVATION COMMISSION TO LOCAL
GOVERNMENTS FOR A USED OIL RECYCLING GRANT;
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER OR HIS DESIGNATED
REPRESENTATIVE TO ACT AS THE CITY'S CHIEF
EXECUTIVE OFFICER AND AUTHORIZED
REPRESENTATIVE IN ALL MATTERS PERTAINING TO THE
CITY'S PARTICIPATION IN THE USED OIL RECYCLING
GRANT; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, the City has identified needs related to used oil recycling; and
WHEREAS, the production of a water quality film will assist in educating the
"'�"`" citizens of Grapevine on the importance of used oil recycling; and
�. WHEREAS, it is necessary and in the best public interest, health and welfare
that the City apply for funding under the 1993 local Council of Governments Pass
Through Grant Program from the Texas Natural Resource Conservation Commission's
(T.N.R.C.C.) Used Oil Recycling Grant program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS:
Section 1 . That the City endorse an application approved for funding under the
North Central Texas Council of Governments Pass Through Grants from the
T.N.R.C.C. Municipal Used Oil Recycling Program.
Section 2. That the City Council supports the activities as set forth in said
application.
Section 3. That the City Council directs and designates the City Manager or
�„ his designated representative as the City's Chief Executive Officer and Authorized
Representative to act in all matters in connection with this grant and the City's
participation in the Solid Waste Reduction Grant Program for the production of a film
on the importance of used oil recycling.
Section 4. That this resolution shall become effective from and after the date
� of its passage.
