RESOLUTION N0. 94-20
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING
STAFF TO PROCEED WITH THE EXECUTION OF A TEXAS
NATURAL RESOURCE CONSERVATION COUNCIL GRANT
TO LOCAL GOVERNMENTS FOR A SOLID WASTE
REDUCTION DEMONSTRATION PROJECT; AUTHORIZING
THE CITY MANAGER OR HIS DESIGNATED
REPRESENTATIVE TO ACT AS THE CITY'S CHIEF
EXECUTIVE OFFICER AND AUTHORIZED
REPRESENTATIVE IN ALL MATTERS PERTAINING TO THE
CITY'S PARTICIPATION IN THE MUNICIPAL SOLID WASTE
REDUCTION DEMONSTRATION PROJECT; AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, the City has identified needs related to solid waste reduction and
minimization; and
WHEREAS, continued funding of the Grapevine Compost Demonstration Project
�° '" will assist in educating the citizens of Grapevine on composting; and
�k� WHEREAS, it is necessary and in the best public interest, health and welfare
that the City apply for funding under the 1993 Texas Natural Resource Conservation
Commission's (T.N.R.C.C.) Grant to Local Governments for Solid Waste Reduction
Program.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS:
Section 1 . That the City endorse an application approved for funding under the
T.N.R.C.C. Municipal Solid Waste Reduction Program.
Section 2. That the City Council supports the activities as set forth in said
application.
Section 3. That the City Council directs and designates the City Manager or
his designated representative as the City's Chief Executive Officer and Authorized
,,,�,,, Representative to act in all matters in connection with this grant and the City's
participation in the Solid Waste Reduction Grant Program for the Grapevine Compost
Demonstration Project.

Section 4. That this resolution shall be effective from and after the date of its
passage.
