HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 1994-028 � RESOLUTION N0. gq-28 ,,,�„ A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS AUTHORIZING THE DRAFTING OF AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO THE ANNEXATION OFTRACTS OF LAND DESCRIBED HEREIN; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE WHEREAS, the City of Grapevine, Texas initiated the annexation of certain tracts of land; and WHEREAS, the City Council authorized the Staff to draft the necessary documents relating to the annexation of the subject properties; and WHEREAS, the City Council called, advertised, and held public hearings on the matter as required by Chapter 43 of the Local Government Code; and WHEREAS, the public did speak to the issue of the proposed annexation; and WHEREAS, the Grapevine City Council is of the opinion that the annexation of � re the properties would be in the best interest of the citizens of Grapevine. �� NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS: Section 1 . That the City Attorney is hereby directed and authorized to draft an ordinance for the purpose of annexing tracts of land described in Exhibit A attached hereto and made a part hereof. Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after the date of its passage. PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS on this the 17th day of May , 1994.
