A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
� GRAPEVINE, TEXAS AUTHORIZING THE GRAPEVINE
LIBRARY BOARD TO ELECT LAY DELEGATES FROM ITS
MEMBERSHIP TO THE NORTH TEXAS LIBRARY SYSTEM
AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, the North Texas Library System requires annual appointment of lay
delegates to attend the semi-annual North Texas Library System meetings; and
WHEREAS, the North Texas Library System by-laws require that the
appointment be made by the governing body of an entity; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Grapevine appoints Grapevine Library
Board Members; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Grapevine wishes to authorize the
Grapevine Library Board to elect the lay delegate and alternates to the North Texas
Library System from the Board's membership.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS:
Section 1 . That all the matters stated in the preamble are found to be true and
correct and are incorporated into the body of this resolution as if copied in their
entirety.
Section 2. That the Grapevine Library Board is hereby authorized to elect the
lay delegate and alternates to the North Texas Library System from the Board's
membership.
Section 3. That this resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after
the date of its passage.
