A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS CALLING A PUBLIC HEARING FOR
APRIL 5, 1994 TO RECEIVE INPUT RELATIVE TO A
RENEWAL OF CABLE TELEVISION FRANCHISE AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, the City of Grapevine, Texas and Paragon Cable entered into a
franchise agreement on February 20, 1981 for cable television service; and
WHEREAS, the current franchise agreement will expire on February 20, 1996;
and
WHEREAS, Paragon Cable has requested renewal of its franchise for cable
television service in accordance with 47 USC 546; and
WHEREAS, the City of Grapevine and Paragon Cable are prepared to begin
negotiations in accordance with 47 USC 546(H), and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Grapevine wishes to call a public
�.� hearing on April 5, 1994 in order to receive public input relative to renewal of the
franchise agreement between the City and Paragon Cable.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS:
Section 1 . That all matters stated above are found to be true and correct and
are incorporated into the body of this resolution as if copied herein in their entirety.
Section 2. The City Council does hereby set a date of April 5, 1994 for a
public hearing to receive input relative to the renewal of the Paragon Cable franchise.
The public hearing will be conducted on April 5, 1994 at 7:30 p.m. in the Council
Chambers, Municipal Court Room #205, 307 West Dallas Road, Grapevine, Texas.
Section 3. That this resolution shall take effect from and after the date of its
passage.
