A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE , TEXAS SUPPORTING THE
RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE BIRCH AVENUE TASK
FORCE; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, on January 4, 1994, a seven (7) member Citizens Task Force was
appointed by City Council to provide formal recommendations in order to address
neighborhood concerns regarding vehicular and pedestrian access via Birch Avenue;
and
WHEREAS, the Birch Avenue Task Force met in two separate meetings on
January 12 and January 27, 1994 with City staff inembers to discuss concerns and
provide solutions to neighborhood concerns; and
WHEREAS, based on these two meetings, the Task Force has provided Council
with various recommendations, inctuding amending Ordinance No. 93-61 by repealing
Section 2 of said Ordinance pertaining to the establishment of "no-parking, stopping
f
or standing" signs along Birch Avenue; and
WHEREAS, the Task Force unanimousty provides the recommendations for
�� � Council's consideration and approval.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS:
Section 1 . That all of the above premises are found to be true and correct and
are incorporated into the body of this resolution as if copied in their entirety.
Section 2. That the City Council does hereby adopt the Birch Avenue Task
Force recommendations regarding vehicular and pedestrian traffic on Birch Avenue.
Section 3. That this resolution shall take effect from and after the date of its
passage.
