RESOLUTION NO. 92-21
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
"'�" OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS AUTHORIZING THE CITY TO
UNDERTAKE THE EXPANSION OF THE INTERSECTION OF
MUSTANG DRIVE AND STATE HIGHWAY 121,
AUTHORIZING THE FUNDING OF THE EXPANSION AND
FUNDING OF TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION
CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT SERVICES; AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Grapevine, Texas
("City") finds and concludes the expansion of Mustang Drive,
including its intersection with State Highway 121 on the east end,
is in the best interest of public health, safety and the general
welfare of the community; and
WHEREAS, the State and the City are statutorily authorized
under Article 6673b V.T.C.S. , to enter into this agreement for the
purpose defined herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
,�.� OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS:
� Section 1. That all of the above premises are found to be
true and correct and are incorporated into the body of this
resolution as if copied in their entirety.
Section 2. That the City Council approves entering into an
agreement with the Texas Department of Transportation authorizing
the City to reconstruct and widen the intersection of State
Highway 121 and Mustang Drive at the sole expense of the City,
including the cost of Texas Department of Transportation
Construction Management Services for the improvements within the
intersection.
Section 3 . That the City Council authorizes the City Manager
to execute said agreement and forward payment to the State in the
amount of $11,300. 00 for the costs of Texas Department of
Transportation Construction Management Services.
Section 4. That this resolution shall become effective
immediately from and after the date of its passage.
