RESOLUTION NO. 92-23
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
�. OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING A JOINT USAGE
AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITIES OF GRAPEVINE AND
EULESS FOR BEAR CREEK PARK AND LITTLE BEAR
CREEK ENVIRONMENTAL CORRIDOR AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, the City of Grapevine and the City of Euless are
desirous of providing their citizens the best possible
opportunities for recreation and leisure within the Parks
Department of their respective cities; and
WHEREAS, the citizens of Grapevine and Euless, including the
citizens of Southeast Grapevine and Northeast Euless are in need of
additional parks; and
WHEREAS, Grapevine's Bear Creek Park and Euless' Little Bear
Creek Environmental Corridor are located in close proximity to the
City limits of each City; and
WHEREAS, trails have been identified by the Texas Parks and
Wildlife, Texas Outdoor Recreation Plan, as the number one
`"�� recreational need within this region; and
�„ WHEREAS, Grapevine's Bear Creek Park and Euless' Little Bear
Creek Environmental Corridor have trails as their central theme;
and
WHEREAS, the Cities of Grapevine and Euless wish to expand the
number of trails within each park and where possible connect the
trails within the two parks; and
WHEREAS, the joint use of these parks can best serve as
regional resources for the enjoyment and betterment of the citizens
of both Cities; and
WHEREAS, both cities encourage their citizens to utilize these
respective parks and the citizens do in fact utilize these
respective parks to the fullest extent possible; and
WHEREAS, both cities currently have a joint usage agreement to
utilize libraries.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
� OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS:

Section 1. That all the matters stated in the preamble of
�� this resolution are true and correct and are hereby incorporated
into the body of this resolution as if copied in their entirety.
r.�. Section 2 . That the Grapevine City Council hereby authorizes
a joint usage agreement for the use and enjoyment of Bear Creek
Park and Little Bear Creek Environmental Corridor by the citizens
of the Cities of Grapevine and Euless.
Section 3 . That this resolution shall take effect from and
after the date of its passage.
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS on this the 21st day of July , 1992 .
