A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
. , OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS EXPRESSING SUPPORT TO THE
KELLER INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT AND
NORTHWEST INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT FOR
THEIR HISTORICAL PRESERVATION EFFORTS
WHEREAS, the Keller Independent School District recognized the
historical significance of the school gym built from petrified wood
in 1933 by the Works Projects Administration; and
WHEREAS, the Northwest Independent School District recognized
the historical significance of the rock wall built in front of the
school in the early 1930's by the Works Projects Administration;
and
WHEREAS, each school district undertook the project of
preserving historical markers in their communities; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Grapevine wishes to
express their support to all area cities in Northeast Tarrant
County for their contributions in preserving the area history.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS that the Mayor and City Council extend this
sincere expression of congratulations and encouragement to the
governing bodies of Northeast Tarrant County to continue with this
historical preservation of the area.
