RESOLUTION NO. 92-02
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
� OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING TEMPORARY
FENCING AND ESTABLISHING ADMISSION BY
VOLUNTARY CONTRIBUTION DURING CITY FESTIVALS;
AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, the residents of the City of Grapevine and
surrounding areas have enjoyed and benefited from Main Street Days
and GrapeFest, two annual festivals conducted on Main Street in the
City of Grapevine; and
WHEREAS, the festivals are conducted by the Grapevine Heritage
Foundation and attract over 90, 000 attendees annually, greatly
benefiting the economy of the City of Grapevine and encouraging its
economic growth and development; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Grapevine encourages
and supports the involvement of individual citizens as festival
volunteers, and supports the involvement of local organizations in
a manner which benefits the organizations' charitable activities
through the raising of funds at the festivals; and

WHEREAS, a voluntary admission fee, with a cap of five dollars
($5. 00) per family, for future Main Street Days and GrapeFest
� festivals would provide charitable fund raising opportunities for
participating organizations and provide funding for the Grapevine
Heritage Foundation for ongoing preservation and educational
activities; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Grapevine gives
highest priority to the safety of everyone involved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS:
Section 1. That all matters stated in the preamble of this
resolution are true and correct and are hereby incorporated into
the body of this resolution as if copied in their entirety.
Section 2 . That temporary fencing be set in place around the
perimeter of all future Main Street Days and GrapeFest festivals
thereby seeuring the area and providing for enhanced safety of all
participants.
� Section 3 . That a voluntary contribution admission fee of
$2 . 00 for adults and $1. 00 for senior citizens and children twelve

years of age and under (not to exceed five dollars [$5. 00) per
family) be collected from all citizens and guests entering the Main
*`��" Street Days and GrapeFest festivals.
Section 4 . That all festival advertising and signage clearly
+�+ indicate that festival admission is by voluntary contribution.
Section 5. That this resolution shall take effect from and
after the date of its passage.
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS on this the 21st day of Januarv, 1992 .
