HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 1991-013 �n,,, RESOLUTION NO. 91-13 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY ""� OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS, CONCERNING THE EXPANSION OF LOOP 382 AND SUPPORTING IMPROVEMENTS TO THE HIGHWAY SYSTEM CORRIDOR OF STATE HIGHWAY 114/STATE HIGHWAY 121 THROUGH THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Grapevine, Texas (the "City") finds and concludes the expansion of Loop 382 to five (5) lanes from its intersection with State Highway 114 on the east end of the City from its intersection with State Highway 114 on the west end of the City is in the best interests of public health, safety and general welfare of the community. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS: Section 1. That all of the above premises are found to be „�:� � true and correct and are incorporated into the body of this resolution as if copied in their entirety. '�' Section 2 . The City Council is agreeable to the expansion of Loop 382 on the following basis: a. The State Department of Highways and Public Transportation (SDHPT) will construct, at SDHPT expense, the widening of Loop 382 to five (5) lanes with additional turning lanes at the intersections from the intersection of Loop 382 with State Highway 114 on the east end of the City to the intersection of Loop 382 with State Highway 114 on the west end of the City. b. Loop 382, as widened, would remain a part of the SDHPT highway system. c. In connection with the widening of Loop 382 by SDHPT, the City will relocate, at the City's expense, all utilities except those jointly agreed upon by SDHPT and the City which would remain under pavement. ,�.., d. The City expresses its intention to complete the Dove Loop Extension and the Wall Street Widening by the year 2005 contingent upon the successful �, passage of a financially feasible street bond election that includes both of said streets. ,�,.,, Section 3 .
