I request that my suggestians be made a matter of record for cansideration by the decision-making body. Z recannend that all ei.sting breaks in the Park Boulevard rnedian strip be retained except the one just north of Big Bend whih goes ; nawhere« Anattrer break is needed at the narth ent.ry o ' Woradlake--the residents have ut theis awn as otheiwa.se those living on the north side of the aparinent must drive through the center of the ccmplex to get to theas parking. Rmoving the break at Shenandaah will seriously inconvenience nearby ' residents. While this is a blind spot, I believe that a left turn wculd be preferred o U turns on Park and additional trafic an residential streets. (5} _ o6118I85 t The breaks should be widened ta allcxa for the fact that streets do ` nat crass Park Boulevard at the same paint--less than goad plar7ning by someane. ? Where practical, I suggest that all breaks in the median be deigned with left turn lanes. This may not be passible ta the fact that Park Boulevard's two lanes are nat on the sat level--again s ; poor planning in the past. While breaks in the median are expensive and left turn lanes even re so, I feel that th e.xpense is justified in view of the anticipated greater traffic on Park Boulevard bcaaund to resul fram additional residential construction axid the new spping center at Northwest Highway. } Sincerely, f Robert G.
