IN ACCORDANCE WITH ARTICLE 6252-17 , V.A.T.C.S. , AS AMENDED BY CHAPTER 227 , ACTS OF THE 61ST LEGISLATURE, REGULAR SESSION, THE SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING EMERGENCY AGENDA WAS PREPARED AND POSTED ON THIS THE 29TH DAY OF MAY, 1984 AT 11 : 00 A.M. ,�,:,., Q�l Ci y Secreta y �....� STATE OF TEXAS COUNTY OF TARRANI' CITY OF GRAPEVINE 'I'he City Council of the City of Grapevine, Texas met in Special Session on this the 29th day of May, 1984 at 5:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers, 413 Main Street, with the following persons present to�,vit: r� �� William D. Tate Mayor Ted R. Ware Mayor Pro Tem Larry Oliver Council Nlember Marion Brekken Council N1P�nber Ron Dyer Council Member Jim Glynn Council Member Tcan Pawers Council Member constituting a quonun, with the follawing men�rs of the City Staff: James L. Hancock City Manager Bill Eisen Assistant City Manager Kenneth Dippel City Attorney Representative Karen Spann City Secretary �,�r TO ORDER The meeting was called to order by Mayor Tate. INVOCATION Council Member Larry Oliver delivered the Invocation. FXECUTIVE SESSION � ` Mayor Tate advised the purpose of the meeting was for the City Council to con- duct an Executive Session to discuss pending litigation pursuant to Article � , 6252-17, V.A.T.C.S. , Subsection (e) . The Council did then recess to the Con- ference Roam. Upon reconvening mpmentarily, all menibers of the City Council were present. City Manager Jim Hancock advised that a settlement had been reached in a law- suit filed by AmY�er Pipeline Company relative to the reconstruction of Timberline Drive. He noted that consideration of a resolution was in order. Said resolution to authorize the City Manager to settle all claims made and to authorize the payment of $19,000 to Amber Pipeline Company for the relocation of their lines and the abandonment of their easements through Timberline Drive. The caption of the proposed resolution was read by the City Secretary. There being little discussion, Mayor Pro Tem Ware offered a mption that the resolution be adopted. The motion, seconded by Council Member Brekken, pre- vailed by the ensuing vote: Ayes: Tate, Ware, Oliver, Brekken, Dyer, Glynn, & Powers Nays: None '��"� RESOLUTION NO. 84-29 A RESOLUTION OF Tf� CITY COUNCIL OF Tf� CITY OF GRAPEVINE AUTHORIZING THE SF'PI'L—F'�1'�'' OF CERTAIN LITIGATION; AUTfiORIZING � PAYMENT OF $19,000.00; DECL�ARING THE II�ENCY AATOURl�Il�]T There being no further business to cam� before the City Council, a motion to adjourn the meeting was made by Council Member Oliver.
