The City Council of the City of Grapevine, Texas met in Special Session on
this the llth day of June, 1984 at 6:45 p.m. in the Council Ch�mbers, 413 Main
Street, with the follawing mQ.znbers present to-wit:

The meeting was called to order by Mayor Pro Tem Ware.

Planning & Zoning Conmission Member Shane Wilbanks delivered the Invocation.
PLANNING & ZONING CONIl�IISSION RECONII�IDATION, ZONING APPLICATION Z84-10 - iJP'I�ON
The purpose of this special meeting was for the City Council to consider the
'" ° reca��ndation of the Planning & Zoning Conmission relative to Zoning
Application Z84-10 (Upton, reverse vending machine) and a subsequent ordinance
�� if applicable.
The public hearing on this case was held on May 15, 1984. Mr. Upton proposes
to locate a reverse vending machine for alumin�n can recycling on the parking
lot of the Wi.nn-Dixie groceiy store, thus requiring a revision of the site
plan.
Planning & Zoning Canmission Chairman Sharron S�xicer reported the Can�assion
reco�nded appraval of the Zoning Application in accordance with a revised
site plan further delineating the presni.se for beer sales at the grocery store.
It was the intent of the C�nnission to ensure that alcoholic beverages would
not be sold at the vending machine location nor would they be cons�ied
anywhere on the premise.
Public Works Director Jim Baddaker revi�wed the revised site plan with the
City Council and brief discussion ensued.
The caption of the proposed ordinance was presented by the City Secreta�ey.
Council Nlember Brekken made a motion that the recamnendation of the Planning &
Zoning Comnission be accepted and the ordinance adopted. The motion was
seconded by Council Mesnber Tcsn Pavers and prevailed by the follawing vote:
