City Council and Planning & Zoning Commission to conduct a workshop and review session relative to proposed amendments to Zoning Ordinance No. 82-73. B. IN ACCORDANCE WITH ARTICLE 6252-17 , V.A.T.C.S. , AS AMENDED BY � CHAPTER 227 , ACTS OF THE 61ST LEGISLATURE, REGULAR SESSION, THE SPECIAL JOINT CITY COUNCIL AND PLANNING & ZONING COMMIS- SION EMERGENCY MEETING AGENDA WAS PREPARED AND POSTED ON THIS THE 22ND DAY OF DECEMBER, 1983 AT 11 : 00 A.M. �, _� City Secretary , STATE OF TEXAS COLINTY OF TARRANT CITY OF GRAPEVINE The City Council of the City of Grapevine, Texas met in Special Session on this the 22nd day of Decesnber, 1983 at 5:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers, 413 Main Street, with the follawing members present to-wit: William D. Boyle, Jr. City Attorney Karen Spann City Secretary N(7I'E: This was originally scheduled to be a Joint Special Meeting with the Planning & Zoning Conmission in attendance; hawever, due to inclement weather, discussion material had not been received, and Conmission Members were notified they need not be present. CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to order by Mayor Tate. � :n INVOCATION °�"`� Mayor Pro Tem Ware delivered the Invocation. WORKSHOP & RE�TLEW SESSION, PROPOSID AMMF�VVDMENTS TO CONIPREE�TSIVE ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 82-73 The first order of business was for the City Council and Planning & Zoning Conmission to conduct a workshop and review session relative to proposed amenc�nts to Zoning Ordinance No. 82-73. It was noted by Mayor Tate that, since appropriate discussion material had not been received, the City Council would dispense with consideration of this item. RESOLUTION, AUTHORIZING PUBLIC HEARTNG,S FOR AMELVDMENTS TO ORDINANCE NO. 82-73 The next order of business was for the City Council to consider taking any necessazy action relative to instructing the City Staff to proceed with the calling of and advertising of public hearings for the consideration of pro- posed amenchnents to Zoning Ordinance No. 82-73. City Manager Jim Hancock advised that it was rec�nded the Cornprehensive � ° Zoning Ordinance be am�nded in order to more thoroughly and completely i�lement the Master Plan Update 1980. ;�,.&m City Attorney John Boyle recommended the City Council instruct the City Staff to go forward and take necessary legal steps to consider proposed changes to Zoning Ordinance No. 82-73. He noted that a w�rk session would be scheduled prior to the public hearings and a full text of the proposed amenc�nts had not yet been received from Mr. Tony Wiles, consulting planner. He then briefly reviewed the proposed ne�a zoning districts: l. "I�B" - Limited Business District 2. "H-C" - Highway Conmercial District 3. "CBD" - Central Business District 4. "HCO" - Hotel & Corporate Office District 12/22/83 5. "M-6" - General Industrial District 6. "PRD-6" - Planned Residential District, L�a Density 7. "PRD-12" - Planned Residential District, Meditun Density 8. "PCD" - Planned C�rcial Development 9. "PID" - Planned Industrial District 10. "G-U" - Goverrurental Use 11. DFW Airport District 12. "F-P" - Flood Plain Follawing this review, the caption of the proposed resolution was read by the ,,,�� City Secretary. There being little discussion, a m�tion was made by Mayor Pro Tem Ware that the resolution be adopted. A second was offered by Council Member Brekken, ��"" and the motion prevailed by the ensuing vote: Ayes . Tate, Ware, Oliver, Brekken, & Glynn Nays . None Absent: Dunn & Dyer RESOLUTION N0. 83-53 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND DIR�C.`I'ING THE CITY STAFF TO TAI� ALL NECFSSARY ACTIONS, INCLUDING � RDQUIRID PUBLICATION OF NOTICE, TO CAIZ A JOINT PUBLIC HEARING OF TF� PI�ANNING AND ZO1vING CONIl�IISSION Al�ID THE CITY COUNCIL FOR 7:30 P.M. JANUARY 17, 1984 AT Tf� GRAPEVINE CITY HAIZ FOR THE PURPOSE OF CONSIDERING PROPOSID AMII�iDN�N'I'S TO THE CITY'S C.'ONIPRII3ETISIVE ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 82-73 A proposed schedule of events to follaw during the implementation process was also presented. � _ ADJOUF�7T There being no further business to come before the City Council, Council Me.mber Oliver made a motion to adjourn the meeting.
