The City Council of the City of Grapevine, Texas met in an Informal Special
Session on this the 30th day of August, 1983 at 7:30 p.m. in the Comrnznity
Room, 307 W. Dallas Road, with the following members present to-wit:

constituting a quorum, with Council Nlember Ron Dyer absent, with the follawing
members of the City Staff:
James L. Hancock City Manager
Bill Eisen Assistant City Manager
Karen Spann City Secretary
INE'ORMAL RECEPTION
The purpose of this meeting was for the City Council to hold an informal
reception for applicants of the Planning & Zoning Comnission and Board of
Zoning Adjust�ents.
Follawing the arrival of the guests and a brief period for becoming
acquainted, Council Member Dunn gave the Invocation. Mayor Tate made a fe�a
introductory comrents and expressed appreciation to those concerned citizens
willing to serve their conmunity. City Manager Jim Hancock outlined the
pur�ose of the Planning & Zoning Commission and Board of Zoning Adjust�nts
""�� and introduced those members of the City Council and City Staff present.
,� Mayor Tate then invited those who had applied for appointment to give some
background information about themselves and their qualifications. The
follawing applicants then spoke:
