ORDINANCE NO. g9-80
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE,
TEXAS, ABANDONING AND VACATING A PORTION OF
A UTILITY EASEMENT LOCATED ON LOT 20R,
BLOCK 3 , MCCLELLAND ADDITION, IN THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS, AS HEREINAFTER DESCRIBED;
PROVIDING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; PROVIDING
� � AN EFFECTIVE DATE AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY
�,� WHEREAS, a portion of a utility easement located in the
McClelland Addition in the City of Grapevine, Texas, as hereinafter
described, is not needed for public use and will not be needed in
the future for public use; and
WHEREAS, abandoning and vacating this portion of said utility
easement will relieve the City of Grapevine, Texas from the cost and
expense of maintaining said property.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS:
Section 1 . That a portion of the City of Grapevine' s utility
easement as recorded in Volume 388-185 , Page 43 of the Tarrant
County Plat Records, and as shown in Exhibit "A" , attached hereto
and made a part hereof, is hereby abandoned and vacated for public
use and the same is hereby abandoned and vacated insofar as all
public right, title, and interest in and to said described portion
of said utility easement is concerned.
'""� Section 2 . That the terms and provisions of this ordinance
shall be deemed to be severable, and that if the validity of any
�,,,,,, section, subsection, word, sentence, or phrase shall be held to be
invalid, it shall not affect the remaining part of this ordinance.
Section 3 . The fact that the present ordinances and regula-
tions of the City of Grapevine, Texas, are inadequate to properly
safeguard the health, safety, morals, peace, and general welfare of
the public creates an emergency which requires that this ordinance
become effective from and after the date of its passage.
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS on this the 21st day of November , 1989.

Beginning at the Northeast corner of said Lot 20R;
Thence South 87° 57 ' 58" West, along the North line of said Lot 20R, a
distance of 149 . 0 feet to the Northwest corner of said Lot 20R;
Thence South 15° 59 ' 00" East, along the West line of said Lot 20R, a distance
of 10 . 3 feet to a point;
Thence North 87° 57 ' S8" East, parallel to and 10 feet South of the North
' North line of said Lot 20R, a distance of 146 . 2 feet to a point, said
being in the East line of saicl .Lot 20R;
