AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS,
�1MENDING ORDINANCE NO. 87-59, AS AMENDED BY
ORDINANCES NO. 87-73, NO. 87-81, AND NO.
88-23 RELATING TO THE FISCAL YEAR 1987-88
BUDGET; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY AND PROVIDING
AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, on September 15, 1987 the City Council entered into
an agreement with Hutchison, Price, Boyle & Brooks to provide
�=5i-� legal services for the City in the amount of $100, 000. 00 plus
indirect expenses; and
WHEREAS, on June 1, 1988, Hutchison, Price, Boyle & Brooks
changed their name to Hutchison, Boyle, Brooks & Dransfield; and
WHEREAS, the City Council deems it necessary to amend the
' agreement with Hutchison, Boyle, Brooks & Dransfield to reflect �
payment on an hourly basis for City Attorney services; and
WHEREAS, the City Council intends to reappropriate available �
fund balance to provide funding for the payment of said legal ;
services; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to appropriate $140, 000 . 00 in
! additional funds to provide for the payment of said legal
services.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS:
Section l . That all of the above premises are found to be
"�=�' true and correct and are hereby incorporated into the body of
this ordinan�e as if copied in their entirety herein.
' Section 2. That Section 1 of Ordinance No. 87-59 as amended
by Ordinances No. 87-73, No. 87-81 and No. 88-23 is hereby
amended to read as follows :
�� "Section 1 . That the appropriation amounts for the
; FY88 budget for different funds of the City of
Grapevine are hereby fixed as follows:
General Fund $12, 339, 664
Utility (Water &
Wastewater) Fund $ 5 , 699, 003
Debt Service Fund $ 3, 226, 765
Golf Course Fund $ 886, 896
� CVB Fund $ 1 , 653, 839
� Insurance Fund $ 674, 769
Fireman' s Relief &
Retirement Fund $ 4 ,000
Capital Projects
Construction Fund $ 9 ,318,371
' Water & Wastewater Capital
Recovery Fees $ 428,507"
Section 3 . That the City Manager be and is hereby
authorized to make the appropriate change to the budget to
reflect the change noted above.
Section 4 . A true copy of this ordinance amending the
Fiscal Year 1987-88 budget shall be filed with the City Secretary
' and attached to the budget originally adopted and the City

copy of the amendments in the office of the County Clerks of
Tarrant, Dallas and Denton counties.
Section 5. The fact that the present ordinances and
regulations of the City of Grapevine, Texas, are inadequate to
properly safeguard the health, safety, morals, peace, and general I
welfare of the public creates an emergency which requires that
this ordinance become effective from and after the date of its
passage, and it is. accordingly so ordained.
