AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS,
AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 87-59, AS AMENDED BY
ORDINANCES NO. 87-73, NO. 87-81, N0. 88-23,
AND N0. 88-43 RELATING TO THE FISCAL YEAR
' ` 1987-88 BUDGET; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE

WHEREAS, on June 2, 1988 the City Council and the Grapevine
Chamber of Commerce met in joint session; and
WHEREAS, the City Council deems it necessary to provide
additional funding to the Grapevine Chamber of Commerce to enable
the Chamber to continue Economic Development and Business
Retention services; and
WHEREAS, the City Council intends to reappropriate available
fund balance to provide funding for the payment of said
additional funding; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to appropriate $6, 250. 00 in
additional funds to provide for the additional funding of said
Economic Development and Business Retention services .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS :
+ � Section 1 . That all of the above premises are found to be
true and correct and are hereby incorporated into the body of
�£_$�-� this ordinance as if copied in their entirety herein.
Section 2 . That Section 1 of Ordinance No. 87-59 as amended
by Ordinances No. 87-73, No. 87-81 , No. 88-23 and No. 88-43 is
hereby amended to read as follows:
"Section 1 . That the appropriation amounts for the
FY88 budget for different funds of the City of
Grapevine are hereby fixed as follows :
General Fund $12, 345, 914
Utility (Water &
Wastewater) Fund $ 5,699,003
Debt Service Fund $ 3 , 226, 765
Golf Course Fund $ 886, 896
CVB Fund $ 1 , 653, 839
Insurance Fund $ 674, 769
Fireman' s Relief &
` Retirement Fund $ 4 ,000
Capital Projects
� Construction Fund $ 9, 318,371
,, , Water & Wastewater Capital
; Recovery Fees $ 428 , 507"
� Section 3 . That the City Manager be and is hereby
' �� authorized to make the appropriate change to the budget to
reflect the change noted above.
Section 4 . A true copy of this ordinance amending the
Fiscal Year 1987-88 budget shall be filed with the City Secretary
and attached to the budget originally adopted and the City
Manager is hereby directed to file or cause to be filed a true
copy of the amendment in the office of the County Clerks of
Tarrant, Dallas and Denton counties.

Section 5 . The fact that the present ordinances and
regulations of the City of Grapevine, Texas, are inadequate to
properly safeguard the health, safety, morals, peace, and general
, welfare of the public creates an emergency which requires that
this ordinance become effective from and after the date of its
passage, and it is accordingly so ordained.
