SUBJECT: APPROVAL OF ANNUAL CONTRACT FOR ON-CALL TRAFFIC
ENGINEERING SERVICES
RECOMMENDATION: City Council to approve an annual contract for traffic engineering services
with Kimley-Horn and Associates.
FUNDING SOURCE: Funds are available in the General Fund in account 100-44540-415-001
an amount not to exceed $50,000.
BACKGROUND: This agreement is to provide on-call traffic engineering and related
services. Kimley-Horn and Associates has provided this service over the
last several years across multiple agreements.
The proposed agreement will consolidate signal timing studies, review of
traffic control plans, traffic related grant applications, and traffic studies
under one umbrella contract to simplify administration.
Staffs intent is to transition to an annual contract for these services.
Staff recommends approval.
