AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS,
AMENDING ORDINANCE N0. 87-59, AS AMENDED BY
ORDINANCE NO. 87-73 RELATING TO THE FISCAL
YEAR 1987-88 BUDGET; AND DECLARING AN
EMERGENCY

WHEREAS, the FY87 budget provided for the purchase of
certain pieces of equipment and products, and for the
�:� construction of certain projects; and
WHEREAS, these projects were duly approved for purchase by
�' the City Council, where necessary, and Purchase Orders issued or
contracts executed accordingly; and
WHEREAS, it was not possible to obtain delivery of the
equipment or products nor to obtain substantial completion of the
I�' ruction ro 'ects b the FY87 ear end, Se tember 30, 1987;

and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to appropriate $340, 486 . 00 in
'i additional funds to provide for the payment of these products,
equipment and projects.

i NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS:
Section 1 . That all of the above premises are found to be
true and correct and are incorporated into the body of this
ordinance as if copied in their entirety herein.
�p�� Section 2 . That Section 1 of Ordinance No. 87-59 as amended
by Ordinance No. 87-73 is hereby amended to read as follows:
"Section l . That the appropriation amounts for the
, FY88 budget for different funds of the City of
Grapevine are hereby fixed as follows :
General Fund $12, 123, 164
Utility (Water &
Wastewater) Fund $ 5, 699, 003
Debt Service Fund $ 3, 226 , 765
Golf Course Fund $ 886, 896
CVB Fund $ 1 , 653 , 839
Insurance Fund $ 674 , 769
Firemen' s Relief &
Retirement Fund $ 4 , 000
Capital Projects $ 9, 318, 371
Construction Fund
Water & Wastewater Capital
Recovery Fees $ 428 , 507"

Section 3 . That the City Manager be and is hereby
authorized to make the appropriate changes to the budget to
'4 reflect the changes noted above.

'� Section 4 . A true copy of this ordinance amending the
I Fiscal Year 1987-88 budget shall be filed with the City Secretary
and attached to the budget originally adopted and the City
Manager is hereby directed to file or cause to be filed a true
copy of the amendments in the office of the County Clerks of
Tarrant and Dallas counties .
Section 5 . The fact that the present ordinances and
regulations of the City of Grapevine, Texas are inadequate to
properly safeguard the health, safety, morals, peace, and general
welfare of the inhabitants of the City of Grapevine, Texas,
creates an emergency for the immediate preservation of the public
business, property health, safety, and general welfare of the
public which requires that this ordinance become effective from
and after the date of its passage and it is accordingly so
ordained.

GRAPEVINE, TEXAS on this the lst day of December , 1987 .
