AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS REPEALING
ORDINANCE NO. 87-22 OF THE GRAPEVINE
CITY CODE RELATIVE TO HOTEL OCCUPANCY
TAX; PROVIDING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE;

AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 87-22 relating to Hotel Occupancy Tax
was passed and approved by the City Council on May 5, 1987; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to repeal and rescind
Ordinance No. 87-22.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS:
Section 1 . That Ordinance No. 87-22 is hereby rescinded and
repealed in its entirety effective as of June 2, 1987.
Section 2 . If any section, subsection, paragraph, clause,
phrase, or provision of this ordinance shall be judged invalid or
unconstitutional, the same shall not affect the validity of this
ordinance as a whole or any portion thereof other than that
portion so decided to be invalid or unconstitutional.
Section 3 . The fact that the present ordinances and
regulations of the City of Grapevine, Texas are inadequate to
properly safeguard the health, safety, morals , peace and general
welfare of the inhabitants of the City of Grapevine, Texas,

creates an emergency for the immediate preservation of the public
business, property, health, safety and general welfare of t e
public which requires that this ordinance shall become effective
w�.•.� from and after the date of its passage, and it is accordingly so
ordained.

GRAPEVINE, TEXAS on this the 2nd day of June, 1987 .
