AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS,
AMENDING APPENDIX B, SECTION
2B (14) (a) OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES
OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS
RELATIVE TO FINAL PLAT APPROVAL;
"�'"" PROVIDING A PENALTY NOT TO EXCEED
THE SUM OF ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS
($1 , 000. 00) AND A SEPARATE OFFENSE
SHALL BE DEEMED COMMITTED UPON EACH
DAY DURING OR ON WHICH A VIOLATION
OCCURS; PROVIDING A SEVERABILITY
CLAUSE; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE,
Texas :
Section 1 . That the Grapevine City Code be, and the same
is, hereby amended by amending Appendix B, Section 2B (14) (a)
relative to final plat approval and that it shall read as
follows :
Section 2B - Final Plat
(14) (a) Prior to the filing of the final plat, the sub-
divider shall submit to the city planning
commission engineering plans prepared, signed and
�hj = sealed by a registered professional engineer. The
engineering plans shall be filed with the public
works department of the city at least seven (7)
days prior to the filing of the final plat. These
plans shall make adequate provision for all surface
and storm drainage within and across the subdi-
vision; shall provide for the construction of a
water distribution system including fire hydrants,
adequate to serve the subdivision with water with
adequate pressure for fire protection, domestic
consumption and/or light commercial use together
with such mains as may be required to connect with
the existing system; shall provide for a sanitary
sewer system adequate to serve each lot or building
site within the subdivision and shall provide for
the construction of such other improvements as may
be required. The subdivider will be required to
pay the full cost of all public improvements .
Subsequent to the approval of the final plat,
detailed construction plans which shall conform to
the rovisions of this subsection _(14) and to the
provisions of Appendix E of the C�ty of Grapevine,_
Texas, Code of Ordinances, as amended, originally
adopted by city council as Ordinance No. 82-75,
�'" relating to construction standards shall be sub
mitted to the director of public works of the city
for approval prior to the commencement of construc-
++r� tion.
Section 2 . Any person violating any of the provisions of
this ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon
conviction �.hereof shall be fined in a sum not to exceed One
Thousand Dollars ($1, 000 . 00) for each offense and a separate
offense shall be deemed committed upon each day during or on
which a violation occurs or continues.
Section 3. If any section, article, paragraph, sentence,
clause, phrase or word in this ordinance, or application thereto
any person or circumstances is held invalid or unconstitutional
by a Court of competent jurisdiction, such holding shall not
affect the validity of the remaining portions of this ordinance ;
and the City Council hereby declares it would have passed such
remaining portions of the ordinance despite such invalidity,
which remaining portions shall remain in full force and effect.
°"� Section 4. The fact that the present ordinances and regu-
lations of the City of Grapevine, Texas, are inadequate to
properly safeguard the health, safety, morals, peace, and general
� welfare of the public creates an emergency which requires that
this ordinance become effective from and after the date of its
passage, and it is accordingly so ordained.
