AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING THE BUDGET FOR THE CITY
OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS, FOR THE FISCAL YEAR
BEGINNING OCTOBER 1 , 1987 AND ENDING
SEPTEMBER 30, 1988; PROVIDING FOR INTRA- AND
INTER-DEPARTMENTAL FUND TRANSFERS; PROVIDING
FOR INVESTMENT OF CERTAIN FUNDS; AND
�"" DECLARING AN EMERGENCY
�„ WHEREAS, notice of a public hearing on the budget for the
City of Grapevine, Texas for the fiscal year 1987-88 was
heretofore published in accordance with law; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing was duly held and all interested
persons were given an opportunity to be heard for or against any
item therein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS:
Section 1 . That the appropriation amounts for the FY88
budget for the different funds of the City of Grapevine are
hereby fixed as follows:
General Fund $12, 075, 895
Utility (Water & Wastewater) Fund 5, 407, 006
Debt Service Fund 2 , 976, 765
Golf Course Fund 885, 676
CVB Fund 1 , 653, 839
� Insurance Fund 674, 769
Firemen' s Relief & Retirement Fund 4, 000
,�,� Capital Projects Construction Fund 9, 318, 371
Water & Wastewater Capital Recovery Fees 428,507
Section 2 . That a copy of the official adopted 1987-88
budget document shall be kept on file in the office of the City
Secretary.
Section 3. That the City Manager be and is hereby
authorized to make intra- and inter-departmental fund tranfers
during the fiscal year as becomes necessary in order to avoid
overexpenditure of a particular object code.
Section 4 . That the City Manager and/or Finance Director is
authorized to invest any funds not needed for current use,
whether operating funds or bond funds in United States Treasury
Bills, Certificates of Deposit, Savings Accounts, Time Deposit
Open Accounts in Official City Depositories, or any other
investment instrument authorized in the Texas Public Funds
Investment Act of 1987.
Section 5 . The fact that the fiscal year begins on
� October l , 1987 requires that this ordinance be effective upon
its passage and adopted to preserve the public peace, property,
health, and safety, and shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage and adoption, and emergency is hereby
declared.
