ORDINANCE NO. 86-38
AN ORDINANCE ABANDONING AND VACATING
A PORTION OF AN EASEMENT LOCATED ON
LOT 9 , BLOCK 1 , GRAPEVINE LAKE
ESTATES IN THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE,
� TEXAS, AS HEREINAFTER DESCRIBED;
PROVIDING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; AND
DECLARING AN EMERGENCY
WHEREAS, the owner of a tract of land located in the
Grapevine Lake Estates Addition in the City of Grapevine, Texas,
has requested that a portion of an easement, as hereinafter
described, be abandoned and vacated; and
WHEREAS, the portion of said easement, as hereinafter
described, is not needed for public use and will not be needed in
the future for public use; and
WHEREAS, abandoning and vacating this portion of said
easement will relieve the City of Grapevine, Texas from the cost
and expense of maintaining said property.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS:
Section l . That a portion of the City of Grapevine easement
as recorded in Volume 388-75, Page 116 of the Tarrant County Plat
��� Records, and as shown in Exhibit "A" , attached hereto and made a
part hereof (a portion of Lot 9, Block 1 Grapevine Lake Estates) ,
is hereby abandoned and vacated for public use and the same is
hereby abandoned and vacated insofar as all public right, title,
and interest in and to said described portion of said easement is
concerned.
Section 2. That the terms and provisions of this ordinance
shall be deemed to be severable, and that if the validity of any
section, subsection, word, sentence, or phrase shall be held to
be invalid, it shall not affect the remaining part of this ordi-
nance.
Section 3. The fact that this portion of said easement is
no longer needed by the public for public usage and would create
a hardship or burden upon the City of Grapevine to keep open and
maintain such easement creates an urgency and an emergency for
the immediate preservation of the public health, safety, and
general welfare, which requires that this ordinance shall take
effect immediately from and after its passage, and it is
accordingly so ordained.

EASEMENT ABANDONMENT - GRAPEVINE LAKE ESTATES
BEING the East fifteen (15) feet of a twenty five (25)
foot easement across Lot 9 , Block 1 , Grapevine Lake Estates
Section No. 1 & 2, according to the plat recorded in Volume
388-75, Page 116 , Plat Records, Tarrant County, Texas and
being more particularly described by metes and bounds as
follows :
BEGINNING at a point in the North line of said Lot 9
said point being 10 . 00 feet from the Northwest corner;
THENCE along said North line of Lot 9 , North 88 degrees
39 minutes East, 15. 00 feet;
THENCE South 1 deqree 11 minutes East, 56 . 80 feet to a
point in the North line of Redbird Lane;
THENCE along said North line of Redbird Lane, North 78
degrees 30 minutes West, 15. 38 feet;
;�, THENCE North 1 degree 11 minutes 0 seconds West, 53 . 28
feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING and containing 826 square
feet of land, more or less.
