HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 1986-042 ORDINANCE NO. 86-42 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CITY CODE OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE, CHAPTER 20, ARTICLE III , SECTION 20-44 RELATIVE TO DRIVEWAY CRITERIA; PROVIDING A SEVER- ABILITY CLAUSE AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY �� BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS: Section 1 . That the Grapevine City Code, Chapter 20, Article III, Section 20-44 is amended to add as an additional paragraph the following: Article III, Section 20-44, Driveway Criteria - add this additional paragraph - Article G - Location - Add: "That driveways from single family dwellings are to be placed on local and collector streets and shall not be placed on the following roads : Park Boulevard, Dove Road, Dove Loop, Heritage Avenue, Cheek-Sparger Road, Hall-Johnson Road, Pool Road, Baze Road, Grapevine-Euless Road, Hughes Road, Glade Road, Dooley Street from Wildwood Street to Bushong, north-south section of Kimball Road, a proposed 4-lane arterial to run north-south from Dove Road to Kimball Road parallel to and west of the existing Snakey Lane, or any other street not yet constructed but shown as a 4-lane or larger street in the Grapevine Thoroughfare Plan. " Section 2 . If any section, article, paragraph, sentence, clause, phrase or word in this ordinance, or application thereto �"� any person or circumstances is held invalid or unconstitutional by a Court of competent jurisdiction, such holding shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions of this ordinance; and the City Council hereby declares it would have passed such remaining portions of the ordinance despite such invalidity, which remaining portions shall remain in full force and effect. Section 3 . The fact that the present ordinances and regulations of the City of Grapevine, Texas, are inadequate to properly safeguard the health, safety, morals, peace, and general welfare of the inhabitants of the City of Grapevine, Texas, creates an emergency for the immediate preservation of the public business, property, health, safety, and general welfare of the public which requires that this ordinance become effective from and after the date of its passage and it is accordingly so ordained. PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS on this the 17th day of June, 1986.
