, AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS
AMENDING AND RENUMBERING SECTION 7-82, RENUMBERING
SECTION i-81, AND REPEALING SECTIONS 7-80, 7-83, AND 7-84
OF THE CITY CODE OF ORDINANCES RELATNE TO
ELECTRICAL INSPECTION FEES; PROVIDING A PENALTY
CLAUSE; F�EPEALING ALL INCONSISTENT ORDINANCES; PRO-
VIDING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; DECLARING AN EMER-
GENCY AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTNE DATE
,��a, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS:
Section 1. That Section 7-82 of the City Code is hereby amended and
� re�#�m�Qred as Section 7-81 to read as follows, and all other sections,
subsections, paragraphs, definitions, words and phrases are not amended but are
hereby ratified, verified and affirmed:
"5ec. 7-81 - Fees Schedule
A) Permit or inspection fees to be charged for any electrical work in the
City shall be as follows:

• B) REINSPECTION: Any inspection called for that is not ready when called,
when the inspector is not provided proper access to the work or the same
violation exists when recalled, a fifteen ($15.00) dollar reinspection fee
will be charged.
C) MINIMUM FOR UNSCHEDULED INSPECTION: For any inspection not
herein prescribed a minimum charge may be made at $25.00."
Section 2. That Sections 7-80, 7-53 and 7-54 are hereby repealed in
""�� their entirety.
Section 3. That Section 7-81 as it existed before the passaae of tis
� ordinance is tsereby renumbered as Section 7-30.
Section 4. Any person violating any of the provisions of this ordinance
shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be
subject to a fine in a sum not to exceed Two Hundred Dollars ($200.00) for each
offense and a separate offense shall be deemed committed upon each day during
or on which a violation occurs.
Section 5. All ordinances or parts of ordinances inconsistent or in
conflict with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby expressly repealed to
the extent of the inconsistency or conflict.
Section 6. If any section, article, paragraph, sentence, clause, phrase or
word in this ordinance, or application thereto any person or circumstances is
held invalid or unconstitutional by a Court of competent jurisdiction, such
holding shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions of this ordinance;
and the City Council hereby declares it would have passed such remaining
portions of the ordinance despite such invalidity, which remaining portions shall
remain in full force and effect.
Section 7. The fact that the present ordinances and rebulations of the
�, City of Grapevine, Texas, are inadequate to properly safeguard the health,
safety, morals, peace and general welfare of the inhabitants of the City of
Grapevine, Texas, creates an emergency for the immediate preservation of the
�+ public business, property, health, safety, and general welfare of the public which
requires that this ordinance become effective from and after the date of the
passage and it is accordingly so ordained.
