AN ORDINANCE AMENDING APPENDIX E, CON-
STRUCTION STANDARDS , ARTICLE I , ITEM 1
SECTION 1 . 5 . 1 BY PROVIDING FOR AN
INCREASE IN THE DESIGN REVIEW AND
INSPECTION FEE; PROVIDING A SEVERABILITY
CLAUSE; PROVIDING A PENALTY NOT TO

BE DEEMED COMMITTED UPON EACH DAY DURING

VIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE AND DECLARING
AN EMERGENCY
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS :
Section 1 . That Appendix E, Construction Standards, Article
I , Section 1. 5. 1 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of
Grapevine, Texas is hereby amended to read as follow�, anct all
other chapters , sections , subsections, paragraphs, sentences,
definitions, phrases and words of said Code of Ordinances are not
amended, but shall remain intact and are hereby ratified,
verified, and affirmed:
Section 1 .5 . 1 - Ins ection Fees : The Subdivider
shall be charged a Design Review and Inspection Fee of
the facilities as listed in Section 1 .5 of an amount
equal to five percent (50) of the construction costs of
the utilities , storm drains and streets in each
'�� " subdivision.

The Subdivider shall file copies of the executed
Construction Contracts with the Director of Public
Works and a determination of the actual amount of the
fee to be assessed against the Subdivider.
Section 2 . If any section, article, paragraph, sentence,
clause, phrase or word in this Ordinance, or application thereto
ar�y person or circumst�nces, is held invalid or unconstitutional
by a Court of competent jurisdiction, such holding shall not
affect the validity of the remaining portions of the Ordinance,
and the City Council hereby declares it would have passed such
remaininq portions of the Ordir.ance despite such invalidity,
which remaining portior.s shall remain in full force and effect.
Section 3 . Any person violating any of the provisions of
this ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon
conviction thereof, shall be fined in a sum not to exceed Two
Hundre� Dollars ( $200 .00) and a separate offense shall be deemed
committed upon each day during or on which a violation occurs or
continues after the notice period provided herein has expired.
Section 4 . That this Ordinance shall become effective or.
all subdivision plats approved after October 16 , 1985 .
Section 5 . The fact that the present ordinances of the City
�„ of Grapevine, Texas are inadequate creates an urgency and an
emergency and in the preservation of the public health, safety,
and welfare requires that this ordinance shall take effect
immediately from and after its passage and the publicaticn of the
caption, as the law and charter in such cases provides .
