GF GRAPEVIPZE, TEXAS , FOR THE FISCAL YEAR
B�GINPdING OCTOBER 1 , 1983 AND ErIDING
S�PT�PIBER 30 , 1984; PROVIDITdG FOR INTRA—
AND INTER—DEPARTrIENTAL FUND TRAPISFERS;
PROVIDING FOR INVFSTMENT OF CERTAIN FUNDS;
I AND DECLARING AN EP�IERGENCY

t�HER�AS , notice of a public hearing on the Budget for the
City of Grapevine , Texas , for the fiscal year 1983-84 was
heretofore published in accordance with law; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing was duly held and all interested
persons were given an opportunity to be heard for or against any
item therein.
NO�v�, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS:
Section l . That the Budget, presented by the City Manager
on this date and reviewed during the public hearing, be approved
for the fiscal year 1983-1984.
Section 2. That the City Manager be and is hereby
authorized to make intra- and inter-departmental fund transfers
: during the fiscal year as becomes necessary in order to avoid
overexpenditures of a particular account.
Section 3 . That the City P�ianager and/or Treasurer/Finance
Director is authorized to invest any funds not needed for current
use , whether operating funds or bond funds in the United States
Treasury Bills , Certificates of Deposit, Saving Accounts, and/or
Time Deposit Open Accounts in Official City Depositories .
Interest accrued from such investments may be deposited in the
General Fund. All of which investments shall be in accordance
with la�a.
Section 4 . The fact that the fiscal year begins on October
1 , 1983 requires that this ordinance be effective upon its
passage and adopted to preserve the public peace , property,
� health, and saiety, and shall be irr full force and effect from
and after its passage and adoption, and an emergency is hereby
declared:
