AN ORDINANCE GRANTING TO METRO-
POLITAN TRANSPORTATION SERVICES,
INC. A FRANCHISE TO OPERATE A TAXI-
CAB SERVICE IN THE CITY OF GRAPE-
VINE AND PERMITTING SAID COMPANY TO
OPERATE UP TO ONE HUNDRED TWENTY
(120) TAXICABS; PROVIDING FOR A
' FIVE (5) YEAR FRANCHISE TERM WITH
AN OPTION TO RENEW FOR AN ADDI-
TIONAL FIVE (5) YEAR PERIOD
Section 1. There is hereby granted to Metropolitan Transpor=
tation Services, Inc. , herein called Grantee, a certificate of
convenience and necessity and the right and franchise to operate a
taxicab service or business in the City of Grapevine, Texas anc'1 to
operate such service or business on the streets , alleys, and
public ways in the City of Grapevine. Grantee may operate taxi-
cabs in a number not to exceed One Hundred Twenty (120) on the
streets, alleys, and public ways in the City of Grapevine.
Section 2. This franchise shall be in force and effect until
five years after the effective date of this ordinance, unless
sooner terminated under provisions of Section 22-36 of the Code of
Ordinances of the City of Grapevine. Prior to the expiration date
of this franchise, the term ma� be extended for an additional five
(5) years, if both parties approve said extension.
Section 3. Grantee, by accepting this franchise, agrees to
abide by the provisions of Chapter 22, as now written and as may
� be subsequently amended, of the Code of Ordinances of the City of
Grapevine governing the operation of taxicabs in the City.
� Grantee also agrees that the City of Grapevine may cancel the
� franchise for violations of the provisions of said Chapter.
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS on first reading this the 18th day of October,
1983.

The Franchise granted by this Ordinance and all the terms and
conditions in said Franchise are accepted by METROPOLITAN TRANS-
PORTATION SERVICES, INC.
