HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 1982-026 ORDINANCE NO. 82-26 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 23-30 AND 23-63 OF THE CITY CODE OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS BY ADDING STOP SIGNS AT CERTAIN LOCATIONS DESCRIBED HEREIN AND PROHIBITING PARKING IN SPECIFIC DESIGNATED LOCATIONS; PRO- VIDING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAPE- VINE, TEXAS: Section 1 . The City Code of the City of Grapevine, Texas, Section 23-30 , is hereby amended by adding stop signs at certain locations described herein: A. On eastbound Shadybrook at Scribner Street. B. On northbound Scribner at Shadybrook. C. On southbound City facility exit at Shadybrook and Scribner. � Section 2. Section 23-63 of the City Code of the City of Grapevine, Texas , is hereby amended to include the following: BEGINNING at a point in Fairway Drive which bears 50 ° 8 ' 5. 3" W, a -distance of 426 . 44 feet from the intersection of the center lines of Dalton ' s Drive and Fairway Drive , said point also being the center line intersection of the golf course parking lot entrance with Fairway Drive; THENCE northerly along the center line of Fairway Drive to a point which bears S 61 ° 55 ' west a distance of 1 ,060 feet from the center of the Corp of Engineers spillway structure; THENCE S 56° 50 ' W a distance of 458 ' more or less , the center line of a temporary road to a point for the beginning of a curve to the right; THENCE along the arc of said curve to the right (Central Angle = 67° 45 ' , Tangent = 67 . 13 feet, Radius = 100 . 0 feet) 118 . 25 feet to a point for the end of side curve; THENCE N 55° 25 ' W, 175. 42 feet to a point for the beginning of a curve to the right; THENCE along the arc of said curve to the right (Central Angle = 93° 09 ' , Tangent = 105. 65 , Radius = 100 . 0 feet) 162 . 58 feet to a point for the end of said curve; THENCE N 37 ° 44 ' E, 500 feet more or less to a point situated in the center line of Fairway Drive; THENCE northerly along the center line of Fairway Drive a distance of 200 feet to the end of a no parking zone within the public street right-of-way. Section 3. If any section, sentence , phrase , word, para- graph, or provisions of this ordinance or the application of that section, sentence , phrase , word, paragraph, or provision to any person, situation or circumstances is for any reason adjudged invalid, the adjudication shall not affect any other section, sentence, phrase , word, paragraph, or provisions of this ordinance or the application of any other section, sen- tence, phrase , word, paragraph, or provision to any other person, situation, or circumstances , nor shall such adjudi- cation affect any other section, sentence, phrase, word, paragraph, or provision of the Grapevine City Code. The City Council declares that it would have adopted the valid portions and applications of this ordinance without the invalid part, and to this end the provisions of this ordinance are declared to be severable. Section 4. A person, firm, or corporation violating the terms and provisions of this ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and shall be fined not less than One Dollar ($1. 00) nor more than Two Hundred Dollars ($200 . 00) . Section 5 . The fact that the present ordinance and regulations of the City of Grapevine , Texas , are inadequate to properly safeguard the health, safety, morals , peace, and general welfare of the inhabitants of the City of Grapevine, Texas , creates an emergency for the immediate preservation of public business , property, health, safety and general welfare of the public which requires that this ordinance shall become effective from and after the date of its passage and it is accordingly so ordained.
