AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CITY CODE OF THE
CITY OF GRAPEVINE , TEXAS , CHAPTER 24 , BY
PROHIBITING MOBILE HOMES OUTSIDE MOBILE
HOME PARKS ; PROVIDING FOR THE CONTINUATION
OF EXISTING MOBILE HOMES OUTSIDE MOBILE HOME
PARKS ; PROVIDING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; PRO-
VIDING A PENALTY; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE , TEXAS :
Section l. Section 24-2. Unlawful to locate
mobile homes outside mobile home parks . '
Section 24-2 of the City Code of the City of Grape-
vine , Texas is hereby amended to read as follows :
"Section 24-2. It shall be unlawful for any person
to locate or maintain any mobile home in any place
in the City other than in a duly licensed and law-
ful mobile home park. "
Section 2. All of Section 24-2 is amended as set
out above and Sections 24-3 and 24-4 are repealed except as
to parties who have heretofore received permits under said
, sections . All of the holders of legal and valid permits to
locate and maintain mobile homes on the effective date of
this ordinance may continue to maintain said mobile home
pursuant to and in accordance with the permit issued and
Sections 24-2 , 24-3 , and 24-4 . All permits are personal
and are not transferable. Therefore any change in owner-
ship of either the land or the mobile home results in the
�- immediate termination and cancellation of said permit .
Section 3. Severability. If any section, sentence ,
phrase , word, paragraph, or provision of this ordinance or
the application of that section, sentence , phrase , word,
paragraph, or provision to any person, situation or circum-
stances is for any reason adjudged invalid , the adjudication -
shall not affect any other section , sentence , phrase , word,
paragraph, or provision of this ordinance or the application
of any other section, sentence , phrase, word, paragraph, or
provision to any other person, situation, or circumstances ,
nor shall such adjudication affect any other section, sen-
tence , phrase , word, paragraph, or provision of the Grape-
vine City Code. The City Council declares that it would have
adopted the valid portions and applications of this ordinance
without the invalid part , and to this end the provisions of
� this ordinance are declared to be severable .
Section 4 . Penalty. Any person violating any of
the portions of this ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a
misdemeanor , and upon conviction thereof , shall be fined
$1. 00 to $200 . 00 and each day such violation continues shall
constitute a separate and distinct offense.

Section 5 . Emergency. The fact that the present
ordinances and regulations of the City of Grapevine , Texas ,
are inadequate to properly safeguard the health, safety ,
morals , peace and general welfare of the inhabitants of the
City of Grapevine , Texas , creates an emergency for the imme-
diate preservation of public business , property , health,
safety , and general welfare of the public , which requires
that this ordinance shall become effective from and after
the date of its passage , and it is accordingly so ordained.
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF GRAPEVINE , TEXAS on this the 15th day of June ,
1982 .
