AMENDMENT TO THE TOWER/GROUND LEASE
AGREEMENT WITH NEW CINGULAR WIRELESS PCS,
LLC, FOR THE INSTALLATION OF COMMUNICATIONS
EQUIPMENT INCLUDING ANTENNAS, CABLES AND
OTHER COMMUNICATION INSTRUMENTS ON THE
BARTON WATER TOWER AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, on March 7, 1997, the City of Grapevine (hereinafter referred to as
"Landlord") entered into a Tower/Ground Lease Agreement with Southwestern Bell
Wireless Inc. ("SBW"), acting in its capacity as general partner of the Dallas SMSA
Limited Partnership, and being a corporation organized and exiting under the laws of
the State of Delaware, for Communications Equipment on the Barton Water Tower; and
WHEREAS, the "Landlord" entered into lease with said Southwestern Bell
Wireless, Inc., acting in its capacity as general partner of the Dallas SMSA Limited
Partnership, and being a corporation organized and existing under the laws of the State
of Delaware, in 1997;
WHEREAS, the City of Grapevine is in agreement to enter into Amendment # 1
to said Tower/Ground Lease Agreement with New Cingular Wireless PCS, LLC, wholly
owned by AT&T since 2006; and
WHEREAS, all legal prerequisites for the adoption of this resolution have been
met, including but not limited to the Local Government Code and the Open Meetings
Act; and
WHEREAS, the City Council hereby declares that the approval of this resolution
is in the best interests of the health, safety, and welfare of the public.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS:
Section 1. That all matters stated in the preamble of this resolution are true
and correct and are hereby incorporated into the body of this resolution as if copied in
their entirety.
Section 2. That the City Council of the City of Grapevine, Texas hereby
approves the First Amendment to the Tower/Lease Agreement, for the Barton Water
Tower located at 211 West Texas Street, with New Cingular Wireless PCS, LLC.
Section 3. That the approved amendment to the Tower/Ground Lease
Agreement is attached as Exhibit "A".
Section 4. That this resolution shall take effect from and after the date of its
passage.
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS on this the 16th day of September, 2014.

Dear Mr, Marshall:
Deltatek Engineering has reviewed the design from Goodman to mount new equipment on the City of Grapevine,
Barton Water Tower. We have also reviewed the Structural Analysis provided by Celeris Group indicating the
addition of six (6) new AT&T antennas in addition to the six (6) existing AT&T antennas that will remain. and
addition/replacement of fifteen (1.5) radio units and nine (9) radio modules will not impose any undue loads on the
water tower. Deltatek Fngi.neering has no objection to this installation.
I would point out that this water tower is candidate for renovationlrepainting within the next four (4) years +/-. Al I
antennas and radios will require temporary removal/relocation during the renovation. We do offer the following
review comments and these comments shall be included in the final set of plans issued for permit and
construction:
I . Underground utilities are in the area. Locates shall be performed prior to any excavation.
2. Contractor shall .notify City of Grapevine at 817-410-3144 for admittance to site.
3. Contractor shall notify Deltatek Engineering at 972-255-9500 for QA inspection.
4. Tank site yard inside fence is crushed stone on top of landscape fabric. Contractor shall exercise care in
excavating for conduit installation and shall restore grounds to satisfactory condition.
5. Cable runs shall be on inside of tank leg and parallel to existing runs. Horizontal runs shall be attached to
the inside of horizontal tank structural members.
6. Cables, brackets, mounts, and RRU's must not interfere with ladder, entrance, or walking path on balcony.
7. Cables, brackets etc, may not be mounted on ladder rails or standoffs.
S. Paint all antenna components, hangers, cables, etc. to match existing color.
9. Underground conduit runs shall be backfilled with select material to 95% standard proctor.
10. Use of crane for equipment installation is permissible but must be scheduled with City in advance if street
or parking lot closure is required.
