AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS AMENDING GRAPE-
VINE CITY CODE, SECTION 7-123 , RELATING TO
FENCE CONSTRUCTION PERMIT FEES, PROVIDING
FOR THE REPEAL OF CONFLICTING ORDINANCES,
PROVIDING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE, PROVIDING
A PENALTY, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS :
Section 1. That Section 7-123 of the Grapevine City
Code is hereby amended to read as follows :
Sec. 7-123 . Construction Permit - Fee
The fee for issuance of fence construction permits
shall be ten dollars ($10. 00) .
Section 2 . Repeal - That all ordinances or any parts
thereof in conflict with the terms of this ordinance shall
be and hereby are deemed repealed and of no force or effect.
Section 3. Severability - If any section, paragraph,
subdivision, clause, phrase or provisions of this ordinance
shall be judged invalid or unconstitutional the same shall
not affect the validity of this ordinance as a whole or any
portion thereof other than that portion so decided to be in-
valid or unconstitutional.
Section 4. Penalty - Any person, firm or corporation
violating any of the provisions of this ordinance shall be
deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction in the
I�4unicipal Court, shall be fined in the amount not to exceed
the sum of Two Hundred Dollars ($200 . 00) for each offense.
Section 5. Emergency - The fact that the existing
fee schedule relating to fence construction is unfair and
excessive creates an urgency and an emergency and the pre-
servation of the public health, safety and welfare requires
that this ordinance shall take effect immediately from and
after its passage and the publication of the caption of said
ordinance as the law and the City Charter in such cases pro-
vides.
