AN ORDINANCE CALLING A PUBLIC HEAR-
ING FOR AUGUST 18 , 1981 AT 8 : 00 P.M.
TO BE HELD IN THE CITY COUNCIL CHAP�-
BERS AT GRAPEVINE, TEXAS, FOR THE
PURPOSE OF CONSIDERING THE INSTITU-
TION OF P.NNEXATION PROCEEDINGS TO
ANNEX ALL THAT LOT, TRACT, PARCEL OF
LAND DESCRIBED IN EXHIBTT "A" ; PRO-
VIDING FOR PUBLICATION OF NOTICE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS :
Section l. Pursuant to and in accordance with Art.
970A Tex. Rev. Civ. Stat. Ann. , the Municipal Annexation
Act, a public hearing is hereby called for August 18 , 1981,
at 8 : 00 p.m. to be held in the City Council Chambers at
Grapevine, Texas, for the purpose of considering the insti-
tution of annexation proceedings to annex all that lot, •
tract, parcel of land described in Exhibit "A" , which is
attached hereto and incorporated herein as if copied in its
entirety into the body of this ordinance.
Section 2. All interested persons shall be given the
opportunity to be heard at said public hearing, which shall
be conducted and held not more than twenty (20) days nor
less than ten (10) days prior to the Institution of the
Annexation Proceedings.
Section 3. Notice of Public Hearing.
(A) Notice of this public hearing shall be pub-
lished in a newspaper having general circulation
in the City, and in the territory proposed to be
annexed. Said notice shall be accomplished by
publication of this ordinance in its entirety,
including Exhibit "A" at least once in said news-
paper not more than twenty (20) days nor less
than ten (10) days prior to the public hearing.
(B) Additional notice by Certified Mail should be
given to Railroad Companies serving the City
and on the City ' s tax roll where the right-of-
way is located within the territory to be
annexed.
Section 4. That this ordinance shall take effect from
and after its passage.
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS on this the 21st day of July, 1981.

EXHIBIT "A" TO
ORDINANCE 81-45
LEGAL DESCRIPTION
A tract of land in the R. A. Smith Survey, Abstract
1159 , Denton County, Texas, more particularly described
as follows ;
BEGINNING at a point in the Tarrant-Denton County
line in the R. A. Smith Survey, Abstract 1159 ; said
point being East 2, 743. 0 feet from the Northeast corner
of the J. J. Dwight Survey, Abstract No. 455 , Tarrant
County, Texas;
THENCE North 500 feet to a point for Northwest
corner;
THENCE East 2 , 000 feet, 500 feet from and parallel
to the Tarrant-Denton County line;
THENCE South 500 feet to the Tarrant-Denton County
line;
THENCE West along the said County line, a distance
of 2 , 000 feet to the true point of Beginning; and con-
taining 22, 957 acres more or less.
