HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 1981-058 ORDINANCE N0. 81-58 AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING THE BUDGET FOR THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS, FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING OCTOBER l, 1981 AND ENDING SEPTEMBER 30, 1982; PROVID- ING FOR THE INTRA AND INTER DEPARTMENT �,,, AND FUND TRANSFERS; PROVIDING FOR THE INVESTMENT OF CERTAIN FUNDS; AND DE- CLARING AN EMERGENCY � WHEREAS, notice of a public hearing on the Budget for the City of Grapevine, Texas, for the fiscal year 1981-1982 was heretofore published in accordance with law; and WHEREAS, a public hearing was duly held and all inter- ested persons were given an opportunity to be heard for or against any item therein. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS: Section l. That the budget, presented by the City Mana- ger and reviewed during the public hearing, be approved for the fiscal year 1981-82. Section 2. That the City Manager be and is hereby authorized to make intra-departmental fund transfers during the fiscal year as becomes necessary in order to avoid over- expenditures of a particular account. ,�:.> Section 3. That the City Manager and/or Treasurer/ Finance Director is authorized to invest any funds not needed � for current use, whether operating funds or bond funds, in the United States Treasury Bills, Certificates of Deposit, Savings Accounts , and/or Time Deposit Open Accounts in Official City Depositories. Interest accrued from such investment may be deposited in the General Fund. All of which investments shall be in accordance with law. Section 4. The fact that the fiscal year begins on October l , 1981 requires that this ordinance be effective upon its passage and adopted to preserve the public peace, property, health and safety, and shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and adoption and an emergen- cy is hereby declared.
