HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 1981-063 ORDINANCE NO. 81-63 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 23 , SECTION 63 OF THE CITY CODE OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS TO PRO- HIBIT PARKING IN SPECIFIED DESIG- NATED LOCATIONS; PROVIDING A PENALTY; � PROVIDING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; REPEALING CONFLICTING ORDINANCES; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY �arr BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS: Section 1. That Chapter 23, Section 63 of the City Code of the City of Grapevine, Texas is hereby amended to read as follows : Parking shall be prohibited at all times at the follow- ing locations : (a) Dallas Road, south side, no parking beginning at a point on the west right-of-way line of Minters Chapel Road west along the south right- of-way line of Dallas Road a distance of 1, 310 feet. (b) Minters Chapel Road, west side, no parking south 480 ' from the intersection of Dallas Road and Minters Chapel Road. �^ (c) Dallas Road, north side, no parking north 1,310 ' from the intersection of Twilight Trail and � Dallas Road. The City Manager is hereby instructed to have signs erected to indicate same. Section 2. Any person violating or failing to comply with any provisions of this ordinance shall be fined, upon conviction, not less than One Dollar ($1. 00) nor more than Two Hundred Dollars ($200. 00) , and each day any violation of non-compliance continues shall constitute a separate offense. Section 3. It is hereby declared to be the intention of the City Council of the City of Grapevine, Texas, that the sections, paragraphs, sentences , clauses, and phrases of this ordinance are severable, and any phrase, clause, sen- tence, paragraph or section hereof should be declared uncon- stitutional, such unconstitutionality or invalidity shall not affect any of the remaining phrases, clauses, sentences, paragraphs, or sections of this ordinance, since the same would have been enacted by the City Council without the incorporation in this ordinance of any such unconstitutional � invalid phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph, or section. Section 4 . All ordinances and parts of ordinances in � confliction herewith are hereby repealed. Section 5. The fact that the present ordinances and regulations of the City of Grapevine are inadequate to pro- tect its citizens within the corporate limits of the City of Grapevine creates an emergency for the immediate preser- vation of the public business, property, health, safety, and general welfare of the public, which requires that this ordi- nance shall become effective from and after the date of its passage as provided by the Charter of the City of Grapevine, and it is accordingly so ordained. �,,, PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS on this the 6th day of October, 1981. +�r,.r APPROVED: j��ry � ��� .
