Shirley m rong City Se etary � ilWrr STATE OF TEXAS COUNTY OF TARRANT CITY OF GRAPEVINE The City Council of the City of Grapevine, Texas met in Special Session on this the 27th day of April, . 1981 at �'' 4: 30 P.M. , in the Council Chambers, 413 Main Street, with the following persons present to-wit: +� Ted R. Ware Mayor Pro-Tem C.L. Oliver Council Member Marion Brekken Council Member Charles Dunn Council Member Aulton D. Mullendore Council Member constituting a quorum with Mayor William D. Tate and Councilman William Shafer absent, with the following members of the City Staff: James L. Hancock City Manager Shirley Armstrong City Secretary CALL TO ORDER Mayor Pro Tem Ware called the meeting to order. INVOCATION: The Invocation was delivered by Councilman Oliver. RESOLUTION, CANVASS BALLOTS, RUN-OFF ELECTION The order of business was for the City Council to consider � a resolution canvassing the ballots of the April 25 , 1981 City Officers Run-Off Election. The City Secretary outlined the resolution advising that 851 total votes were cast with the results as follows : Council Place Six Ron Dyer. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 467 Aulton D. Mullendore. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 384 The Council was also advised that for the purpose of 'absentee voting, one-hundred paper ballots were printed, sixty-four persons voted absentee, with thirty-six blank ballots ac- counted for in the Office of the City Secretary. There being no discussion, Council Member Marion Brekken made a motion to adopt the resolution canvassing the ballots of the April 25, 1981 election. The motion was seconded by Councilman Dunn and prevailed by the following �* vote: Ayes . Ware, Oliver, Dunn, Mullendore, & Brekken Nays . None �""" Absent : Tate & Shafer 04/27/81 RESOLUTION NO. 81-12 A RESOLUTION DECLARING THE RESULTS OF THE CITY OFFICER'S RUN-OFF ELECTION HELD ON THE 25TH DAY OF APRIL, 1981 ADJOURNMENT � There being no further business, Council Member Brekken made a motion to adjourn.
