CITY OF GRAPEVINE
The City Council of the City of Grapevine, Texas met in
Budget Workshop Session on this the 7th day of August, 1980
at 7 : 30 P.M. in Concourse Meeting Room Five at the Grapevine
Concourse Center with the following members present to-wit:
William D. Tate Mayor
�""""^ Red R. Ware Mayor Pro Tem
' C.L. "Larry" Oliver Council Member
William Shafer Council Member
+r�.�r Aulton D. Mullendore Council Member
Marion Brekken Council Member
constituting a quorum with Councilman Charles Dunn absent,
with the following members of the City Administrative Staff:
James L. Hancock City Manager
Bill Eisen Assistant City Manager
Lee Maness Finance Director
Shirley Armstrong City Secretary
CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Tate called the meeting to order.
INVOCATION
The Invocation was delivered by Councilman Oliver.
WORKSHOP, 1980-81 CITY BUDGET
�,�, City Manager Jim Hancock then presented the following aspects
� of the Utility, Golf Course, and Tourist & Convention Bureau
; Funds:
�
A. Water and Sewer Enterprise Fund projected revenues
and proposed expenditures,
B. Golf Course Enterprise Fund projected revenues
and proposed expenditures of both the pro shop
budget and the golf course budget,
C. Tourist and Convention Bureau projected revenues,
proposed expenditures, and contingency fund.
There were numerous questions asked by members of the Council.
Councilman Shafer instructed Tourist and Convention Bureau
Director Bob Phillips to provide additional information relative
to office machine rentals as opposed to purchase costs as out-
lined on page sixty (60) of the proposed budget.
Mr. Shane Wilbanks, Chairman of the Tourist and Convention Bureau
advised that the Bureau had recommended approval of the proposed
budget as presented.
Mayor Tate advised those in attendance that the final workshop on
� the City' s 1980-81 budget would be held on August 26th with the
; Budget Public Hearing scheduled for September 2nd. He further
� stated that copies of the proposed budget were on file in the
Office of the City Secretary for public inspection.
The City Staff was not instructed to make any changes in the pro-
posed budget at the present time.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business to come before the City Council,
Councilman Mullendore made a motion to adjourn. The motion was
08/07/80
seconded by Council Member Marion Brekken and prevailed by
the following vote:
Ayes . Tate, Ware, Oliver, Shafer, Mullendore, & Brekken
Nays . None
Absent : Councilman Dunn
