B. Councilman Mullendore to address the Council
relative to the City of Grapevine' s participation
in the Regional Transportation System.
The above item was added to the Agenda because immediate action
is necessary to insure the health, safety and general welfare of
the citizens of Grapevine.

CITY OF GRAPEVINE
The City Council of the City of Grapevine, Texas met in Special
Session on this the 14th day of February, 1980 at 7 : 30 P.M. ,
at the Grapevine Concourse Center, 3800 Fairway Drive with the
following persons present to-wit :
� William D. Tate Mayor
David A. Florence Mayor Pro Tem
Ted R. Ware Councilman
Charles Dunn Councilman
� William Shafer Councilman
Aulton Mullendore Councilman
constituting a quorum with Councilman Oliver absent, with the
following members of the City Staff:
James L. Hancock City Manager
Bill Eisen Assistant City Manager
Shirley Armstrong City Secretary
CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Tate called the meeting to order.
INVOCATION
The Invocation was delivered by Dr. George Clerihew, First
Baptist Church.
PUBLIC MEETING - PROPOSED WET 'N WILD FACILITY
;,�. Mayor Tate welcomed those present and advised that the purpose
of the meeting was two-fold; (1) to provide the citizens of the
community with facts surrounding the Wet 'N Wild project and,
'�' (2) to identify the concerns within the community in regard to
the facility.
Mayor Tate introduced the City Officials in attendance and then
welcomed representatives of Wet 'N Wild, Mr. George Millay, Mr.
John Shawen, and Mr. John Seeker. Mr. Matt Barber, Freese &
Nichols Engineering Firm, who prepared the Environmental Assessment
of the project was also present .
Mayor Tate gave a brief history of the City' s participation in
the project and voiced support of the facility.
Councilman Mullendore reported that several City Officials
visited the Florida facility in the fall of 1979 and expressed
his favoritism of the Grapevine project as a result of that visit.
Mr. Millay, President of Wet 'N Wild then provided an audio
visual presentation in regard to the proposed facility.
A question and answer period followed during which both support
and opposition to the project were voiced.

ADJOURNMENT
� At the conclusion of the discussion, Mayor Tate declared the
meeting adjourned. No formal action was taken.
