AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CITY CODE
OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS ,
CHAPTER 21, SECTION 21-28 BY CHANG-
ING THE NAME OF THE GRAPEVINE TOUR-
IST AND CONVENTION BUREAU TO THE
GRAPEVINE CONVENTION AND VISITOR'S
BUREAU AND BY DELETING THE FIRST
SENTENCE OF SECTION 21-19; AND DE-
''"�"" CLARING AN EMERGENCY
� BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS :
SECTION 1. The City Code of the City of Grapevine, Chapter
21 is hereby amended by amending Section 21-28
and Section 21-29 as follows :
(A) Section 21-28 (a) shall hereinafter read:
Section 21-28 Grapevine Convention and
Visitor' s Bureau-Established;
composition; appointment of
officers .
(a) There is hereby established the Grape-
vine Convention and Visitor 's Bureau,
which shall consist of five (5) members ,
at least two (2) of which shall be rep-
resentatives of hotels or motels oper-
ated in the city and the balance shall
be citizens of the city and one ex-officio
member from the administrative staff of
the city and one ex-officio member from
' the staff of the Grapevine Chamber of
� Commerce. One of the members of the
bureau shall be elected by the Grape-
vine City Council as chairman and one
shall be elected by the bureau as vice-
chairman.
(B) Section 21-29 Same-Qualifications and
appointment of office and
removal from office of inem-
bers; filling vacancies.
Section 21-29 is hereby amended by
deleting the first sentence from same
section. All other portions of same
section shall remain in full force and
effect.
SECTION 2. Emergency--The fact that the present ordinances of
the City of Grapevine are inadequate to protect its
citizens within the corporate limits of the City of
Grapevine, creates an emergency for the immediate
��, preservation of the public business , property, health
safety and general welfare of the public which re-
quires that this ordinance shall become effective
from and after the date of its passage as provided
by the Charter of the City of Grapevine and it is
accordingly so ordained.
