AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CITY CODE OF
THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS BY PROVID-
ING FOR A TURNING LANE AT THE LOCATION
DESCRIBED HEREIN; AUTHORIZING THE EREC-
TION OF TRAFFIC REGULATION SIGNS; RE-
PEALING CONFLICTING ORDINANCES; PROVID-
ING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; PROVIDING A
PENALTY; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY

� NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS :
Section 1. Chapter 23 , Section 23 of the City Code of
the City of Grapevine, Texas is hereby amended as follows :
Section 23-33 Left turn lane only
Traffic shall be restricted to left turn only
at the location as indicated:
The most easterly southbound
lane on Park Boulevard at its
intersection with Shenandoah
Drive a distance of four-hundred
eighty feet (480 • ) north of said
intersection.
Section 2. That the City Manager or his agent, is
hereby authorized to have proper signs erected, constructed
and placed at such points along said streets .

Section 3. That all ordinances or any parts thereof in
' conflict with the terms of this ordinance shall be and here-
`�'� by are deemed repealed and of no force or effect provided,
however, that the ordinance or ordinances under which the
cases currently filed and pending in the Municipal Court of
the City of Grapevine, Texas, shall be deemed repealed only
when all such cases filed and pending under such ordinance
or ordinances have been disposed of by a final conviction or
a finding not guilty of nolo contendere, or dismissal.
Section 4 . If any section, paragraph, subdivision,
clause, phrase or provisions of this ordinance shall be
judged invalid or unconstitutional the same shall not affect
the validity of this ordinance as a whole or any portion there-
of other than that portion so decided to be invalid or unconsti-
tutional.
Section 5. Any person, firm or corporation violating
any of the provisions of this ordinance shall be deemed guilty
of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction in the Municipal Court,
shall be fined in an amount not to exceed the sum of Two Hundred
Dollars ($200. 00) for each offense.
�`� Section 6 . The fact that the traffic regulations of the
City of Grapevine, Texas do not adequately regulate the traffic
' within the City creates an urgency and an emergency and the pre-
'�; servation of the public health, safety and welfare requires that
this ordinance shall take effect immediately from and after its
date of passage and the publication of the caption of said ordi-
nance as the law and the City Charter in such cases provides.
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAPE-
VINE, TEXAS on this the 16th day of December, 1980.
