SUBJECT: APPROVAL FOR THE SOLE SOURCE PURCHASE OF A PUMP REPAIR
AT THE HILTON LIFT STATION
RECOMMENDATION: City Council to consider approval of a sole source purchase of a pump
repair at the Hilton Lift Station from Precision Pump Systems for the Public
Works Department.
FUNDING SOURCE: Funds are available in the Utility Enterprise Fund 200 for an estimated
amount of $17,121.
BACKGROUND: This approval will allow a submersible pump at Hilton Lift Station to be
rebuilt by Precision Pump Systems.The pump stopped functioning due to
age and is in need of repair.
The purchase of the pump repairs will be made as a sole source purchase
from FCX Performance in accordance with Local Government Code
Chapter 252, Subchapter B, §252.022. General Exemptions (a)(7)(3).
Staff recommends approval.
